In the final blog of this series, I thought I would recap on what we’ve learnt over the past few weeks so you can start from the beginning if you haven’t already.
Way back in June, I expressed the importance of goal setting (and I also repeated the same exercise last month because it’s that important!)
Step 1: Learn how to make your goals SMART
We then learnt about how our thoughts, out beliefs and our actions all have to be aligned in order to achieve our goals. And that our thoughts are controlled by our beliefs and our actions are controlled by our thoughts, so if we want to change our actions we need to change our beliefs first.
Step 2: Discover your negative beliefs that prevent you from taking positive action
Step 3: Change your negative beliefs and start to overcome your obstacles
Once you had done those steps all you needed to do was take the first step- simple right?
Step 4: Take the first step to achieve your goals
Our 2nd workshop was more focused on developing an exercise plan to help you achieve your goals so we started with goal setting again and getting even more clear on why we want to achieve those goals.
Once you have got clear on what you want to achieve, we can start to make time to take action.
Step 5: Find out how much time you have to start taking action
Step 6: Find out what exercises will help you achieve your goals
And finally, last week I gave you that little nudge again to help you take the first step to achieving your goals.
Have you taken the first step yet? If not, it’s ok- but just make sure you redeem yourself this week.
This month’s free workshop (taking place tonight and tomorrow lunchtime) is all about How to Get Healthier, Have More Vitality & Feel Happier at home and at work – and I’m sure we could all benefit with a bit more of that post-holiday season, so stay tuned for my advice on this over the next few weeks.
