Last week, I was talking about being consistent and how that is one of the hardest parts of achieving any health, fitness & weight loss goal. So often we look for a quick fix and when the results don’t come fast enough we give up because we get too impatient, bored or start to doubt the process.

We would all love a ‘magic button’ to help us get in shape (if I find that button I’ll let you know!) but unfortunately right now it doesn’t exist. Instead, as I’m sure you know, it takes a fair amount of time & effort but it’s so much easier when the time & effort you put in is spent doing the right things that WILL get you results and when you have support around you encouraging you to keep going.

And that leads me to probably the 2nd hardest part of achieving your health, fitness & weight loss goals… ASKING FOR HELP.

Now, of course, most people have the ability to achieve their health, fitness & weight loss goals by themselves with no external help from me or anyone else because the information on how to do it is readily available on the internet, in magazines or on TV, however, most people don’t take action for a variety of reasons…

  • Confusion – there’s so much information
  • Fear – what if you take the wrong advice
  • Lack of investment – the information is free so you wont lose anything if you don’t take any action
  • Lack of commitment – no one knows you’re even contemplating taking action
  • Takes too much time – you need clear instructions

And if you’re in that contemplation stage right now where you know exactly (or at least roughly) what you need to do to achieve your goals but you’re still not doing it… ASK FOR HELP!

Emma did exactly that (read her story here) and although it was pretty scary for her to send the first email, answer the first call and walk through the door for the first time, I’ve been able to save her lots of time, effort and potentially wasted money AND I’ve accelerated her progress too!

By asking for help, you’ll simplify the process with

  • Clear step by step instructions
  • Proven methods that have worked for people like you
  • Accountability to keep you on track with your goals

… and be on the road to achieving your goals much quicker than on your own!

It also makes a difference if you pay for the help (the more the better) because you wont want to waste your money by not taking the advice/action. This is one of the reasons why ‘pay as you go’ classes and cheap gym memberships don’t often help and why personal training does.
