As the official training provider for the Loughborough Half Marathon, taking place on Sunday March 25th 2012, onesixeight: fitness have recorded several motivational training podcasts to help you along the way with your training.

Each podcast will take you through an interval training session selected from our Loughborough Half Marathon training programmes and provide you with motivation, advice and support for the challenge ahead. Each session can be done outside, on a treadmill or even on a rebounder (mini-trampoline). Or if you prefer, you don’t even have to run! – The session can be done on a cross trainer, static bike or with any exercise you choose. Whichever way you choose to train, onesixeight: fitness is here to help motivate, challenge and support you all the way to the finish line.

Beginner (Weeks 1-8):

12 x 30 second intervals

15 x 30 second intervals 

Beginner (Weeks 9-16):

15 x 60 second intervals

15 x 90 second intervals 

Beginner (Weeks 17-24):

2 sets of 10 x 90 second intervals 

 

Advanced (Weeks 1-8):

12 x 90 second intervals 

15 x 90 second intervals 

Advanced (Weeks 9-16):

2 sets of 10 x 90 second intervals

5, 4, 3, 2, 1 minute intervals 

Advanced (Weeks 17-24):

2 sets of 8 x 2 minute intervals
